The Centre will attract more local, national and international students and raise the profile of the exciting careers in these global sectors.
The number of world class hospitality graduates will need to keep growing as the local, national and international demand for skilled workers in this sector increases. A new state-of-the-art International Centre for Food, Hospitality and Tourism Studies will be built at Lot Fourteen, in the heart of the city’s cultural and restaurant district.
Lot Fourteen is being developed as a premier innovation neighbourhood that will bring together all levels of Government, global industries, entrepreneurs and research institutes to drive economic growth.
It will also house key cultural and educational facilities to support its role as a year-round global attraction and to build on Adelaide’s reputation as a hub for food, tourism, hospitality and culture.
Graduates from the Centre will be equipped with the skills and confidence to contribute to the supply of highly qualified talent that will continue Adelaide’s reputation for excellence.
A full scoping study, led by HASSELL Limited with support from Johnstaff, has commenced.
The Scoping Study will consider options for the South Australian Government to deliver the Centre in consultation with key stakeholders, including current education providers offering world-renowned study programs.
