A Skilling South Australia project will support 25 new jobs in the State’s screen industry and enable 25 existing workers to be upskilled.

Twenty-five skilled workers from adjacent industries, such as performing and visual arts, festivals and events, accountancy, trades, and construction, will undergo training to join the screen industry for the first time.

In addition, 25 existing crew will be upskilled to fill key roles to meet the demands of the film sector.

The Australian Film Television Radio School will deliver industry-specific and tailored training for those roles.

South Australia’s screen industry is going from strength to strength on the back of the recently-released blockbuster Mortal Kombat, along with Stan original production Gold, the Joel Edgerton-thriller, The Unknown Man, and HBO/BBC series The Tourist, starring Fifty Shades of Grey’s Jamie Dornan.
