Creative Industries Networking
Technology is morphing, developing and converging at ever-increasing speeds. How do creative businesses in South Australia harness the opportunities tech brings to us without being overwhelmed by choice? What do innovators at the forefront of this technological change think the future looks like? And what is “Createch” exactly, anyway?
To find out more, you are invited to our Creative Industries Networking session at St Paul’s Creative Centre on Thursday 15 April 2021 from 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start, until 7.30pm.
Minister for Innovation and Skills David Pisoni will open this session, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions of some of the state’s most innovative “createch” focused business leaders in the Q&A style facilitated discussion.
Join us and hear from the following speakers:
Anton Andreacchio is the co-founder of creative industries companies Convergen, Jumpgate VR and Artisan Post Group and has worked across infrastructure visualisation, film and television post-production, VR training and contemporary art projects. Anton also serves on the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board of South Australia, Adelaide Film Festival Board, ACE Open Board and University of Adelaide Creativity and Culture Advisory Board.
Shane Aherne is the founder and Director of ModelFarm, an Adelaide based 3D visualisation company that produces world class material for the entertainment, property, retail, tourism and education sectors. Prior to establishing ModelFarm, Shane built up 15 years of feature film visual effects experience on some of Hollywood's biggest movies.
Alexandra Daunt-Watney joined Mr.X in April 2020 as Head of Studio, bringing with her over 17 years of VFX production experience. She has been instrumental in delivering such projects as X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Dumbo and Thor: Ragnarok during her time at Adelaide's Rising Sun Pictures, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy, Paddington, Wrath of the Titans, Sherlock Holmes and a number of Harry Potter films during her years at Framestore in London.
Sam Haran is a Director and co-owner of Sandpit. He has worked as Creative Director on numerous projects for clients including Google Creative Labs, Australian Sports Museum, MOD, Science Gallery Melbourne and Penguin Books.
